Peanut Butter and Banana Pupcakes

Sorry for the long absence of posts, we have been quite busy trying to get everything together for our big move. Only a few more weeks to go! EEK!

Since Frank will also be moving with us, his wonderful dog sitter  decided to throw him a going away paw-ty with some of his pup friends. We couldn’t show up to the empty handed so we decided to make some pupcakes! This is my most favorite go to recipe whenever there’s a special doggy occasion. It’s so simple and actually tasty. (Yes I have tried it!) Frank is one of the pickiest eaters I have come across and even he loves them.

Peanut Butter and Banana Pupcakes

(For the pupcakes)

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 of a mashed banana

(For the icing I will do either one of these depending on what I have available)

  • 1/3 cup plain greek yogurt
  • spoonful of creamy peanut butter
  • squirt of honey
  • 2 oz softened cream cheese
  • 1/2 of a mashed banana
  • 2/3 cups creamy peanut butter

Whisk together the flour and baking soda.

Add in your peanut butter, honey, egg, vegetable oil, and banana.

Place in cupcake liners and bake for 13-15 minutes at 350 degrees.

Once done, let them cool down and frost right before serving. For added deliciousness, top with your pups favorite peanut butter treat!

Someone enjoyed cleaning off the icing spatula!

Frank had an awesome time chowing down and playing with all of his friends. We are both going to miss Hoboken Doggy Haven so much! Thank you Vanessa for always taking such good care of my baby!

Hopefully I’ll be able to squeeze in a few more posts before we are in the land of wiener dogs! Until next time! Auf Wiedersehen! XO
